Before getting started with pairing, Bluetooth and Location Services must be turned on, as the app requires access to these features in order to operate.
To pair your SmartCurtain with your phone using Bluetooth, follow these steps:
To get started, either select "Add a Device", or tap the grey + button in the top right corner.
Select RYSE SmartCurtain
The app will now take you through our interactive installation guide, showing how to install the batteries.
If you have already installed the batteries in your SmartCurtain, tap "skip" in the upper right corner.
If you have not yet installed the batteries in your SmartCurtain, proceed with the tutorial before moving on to the next step.
Select Bluetooth
Press the PAIR button on your SmartCurtain. You will see the light blink blue, confirming it is in pairing mode.
Your SmartCurtain will now be paired with your phone!
Now it's time to set up your device. Choose a name for your window, then tap Next.
Identify how you would like to set up your window.
Note that if you select "Curtains open/close down the middle" at this step, you will be guided through the two-curtain pairing process. The process will involve pairing your first SmartCurtain, calibrating it, then repeating this process for the second SmartCurtain.
Follow the in-app tutorial to attach your SmartCurtain to your curtain rod! After this process is completed, you will see "Installation Complete" in the RYSE app. Tap the X in the top right corner to proceed with the next steps.
Next, it's time to set your device's positions. You will see the lights on your SmartCurtain flash red, green, and blue.
Use the arrows to set your fully opened position. Tap Select.
Then, use the arrows to set your fully closed position. Tap Select.
Your SmartCurtain is now paired to your phone and installed on your rod! Tap Done, and enjoy using your SmartCurtain.
