AXIS Gear has been discontinued. This means that new AXIS Gears (and component parts) are no longer being manufactured, and our AXIS website will no longer be available. However, we are still creating new innovations, under the RYSE system!

RYSE is a growing smart home ecosystem, consisting of multiple exciting smart products and accessories.

RYSE SmartShades have the same compatibility requirements as AXIS Gear. This means that if AXIS Gear worked for you, RYSE SmartShades will too!

Although the compatibility requirements are the same, there are also some important differences:

Speed & Sound:

RYSE SmartShades are significantly quieter than AXIS Gear, operating at approximately 40db (the same volume as a quiet library). They can also raise your shades faster, and have an adjustable speed setting (through the RYSE app)!

On-Device Controls:

Instead of a touch strip, RYSE SmartShades have simple on-device buttons. You can move your shade to any position using these controls, or long-press the UP/DOWN arrows to send your shade fully open/closed!

Power:

RYSE SmartShades can be powered either by the power adapter cable (included with the Wired model), or the BatteryPack (included with the Wire-Free model, or available for purchase separately). The BatteryPack is rechargeable, and lasts for 3-6 months per charge.

Smart Home Integrations:

When paired with the SmartBridge, RYSE SmartShades can connect directly with the following smart home platforms:

Routines & Group control:

Using the SmartBridge, you can set schedules on your RYSE SmartShades (similar to AXIS Gear).

Without the SmartBridge, you can group up to 4 SmartShades together and control them simultaneously through the RYSE app. With the SmartBridge, you can create groups of up to 10 SmartShades!

The SmartBridge is the "brain" of the RYSE system. It enables routines, integrations with smart home platforms, user sharing, and group control (of up to 10 SmartShades)! You can learn more about the SmartBridge here.

The new RYSE SmartButton is a simple one-button remote, capable of sending commands to up to 4 SmartShades at a time.

Our new SmartCurtain can automate your curtains (by moving along your curtain rod)! If you plan to upgrade your AXIS Gears to RYSE SmartShades and would like to control your curtains through the same methods, the SmartCurtain may be a good fit for you. Powered by rechargeable internal batteries, the SmartCurtain is compatible with the RYSE App, SmartButton, and SmartBridge (which enables integration with Alexa/Google Home/HomeKit/IFTTT).
