Gear has 3 physical buttons on top of the unit - SET, GROUP and PAIR.

Press ‘Group+Pair’ to switch between Bluetooth and Smart Home modes.

To place Gear in to Smart Home mode, press the 'Pair' and 'Group' buttons simultaneously for five (5) seconds.

You will see the Touch Strip flash PURPLE twice to signify that Gear has been switched to Smart Home mode.

To remove Gear from Smart Home mode, press the 'Pair' and 'Group' buttons simultaneously for five (5) seconds to switch the device back into Bluetooth mode.

You will see the Touch Strip flash BLUE twice to signify that Gear has been switched back to Bluetooth mode.

Note: Removing Gear from Smart Home mode will also disconnect from the ZigBee network you had connected Gear to.
