Enabling Voice Commands to Use SmartThings Scenes

  1. Open Google Home app and click on the Account icon

  2. Click on Settings and navigate to the Assistant tab to select Routines

  3. Add a new routine by clicking on the + icon on the bottom right and set up the following

Additional Notes

  • Only one SmartThings hub can be linked to a Gmail account via Google Home

  • Trying to link multiple hubs from SmartThings on the same phone causes other hubs to be disconnected

  • Google Assistant must be enabled for full functionality

  • Google Assistant has pop-up that states, to enable a scene to say "Start [scene name] scene"; this feature is not yet compatible with AXIS Gear

  • Be careful not to name the group very similarly to the name of the scene
