Please ensure the <a href="https://www.helloryse.com/products/ryse-smartshade-batterypack?utm_source=supportcent[%E2%80%A6]icle&amp;utm_term=configuring-the-top-and-bottom-shade-positions" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SmartShade</a> is properly mounted and attached to your window shade's beaded chain/cord loop.

Press and hold the "SET" button on top of the SmartShade for at least 3 seconds. The top arrow on your SmartShade will blink continuously while the bottom arrow will stay solid blue.

Press the top arrow to move your shade a little. If the shade is opening, then go to Step 3.

​ If your window shade is closing, press and hold "PAIR" on top of the SmartShade for 3 seconds. This will reverse directions. Try pressing the top arrow again on the SmartShade and this time your window shade will open. ​ ​

Set Top Position: You can choose to set your top or bottom position first. In most cases, we suggest setting the top position first. Select "Top Position".

Press and hold the "Top Arrow" button until you reach your preferred top position.

Then press the "SET" button on top the SmartShade to save. The bottom arrow will blink continuously while the top arrow will now become a solid blue.

Set Bottom Position: Press and hold the "Bottom Arrow" button until you reach your preferred bottom position and then press the "SET" button on top of the SmartShade to save. Both the top and bottom arrows will now be a solid blue.

Your top/bottom positions are now set! Tap "Next" to continue the setup process.

5. Your top/bottom positions are now set! Tap "Next" to continue the setup process.
